Milan vs Livorno Preview, Uhh Maybe Not…

As we all know, Milan is in Japan. The Rossoneri will try to prove they are the best Football Club in the World. This basically means that Livorno get the week off and can solely concentrate on the December 23rd pre Kwanza bash (or whatever holiday you prefer)with Atalanta. The Milan - Livorno game will be played sometime in February 2008.

Considering we’re talking about Livorno, there’s not that much in the news so here’s some useless random stuff;

I will not be talking about Cristiano Lucarelli’s probable return to Italy. I don’t want to jinx anything and Martha is tracking his movements for you. One of my favourite communists is heading out of the Ukraine as soon as he can.

Aldo Spinelli will not be buying French club Nice and I guess pretty much any other French club

Diego Tristan is drawing some attention from French Club Nantes. The club’s Directeur Général , Claude Robin has confirmed Nantes interest saying : Putain! Diego est vraiment trop fort, il voudra surement jouer avec les canariesHonestly, who cares? I don’t think Mr Tristan is all excited about the news, I mean it’s Nantes! Not actually a step up from Serie A.

Livorno are seemingly on the verge of signing Gediminas Paulauskas, a 25 year old Lithuanian phenom (maybe Phenom is a little over the top, but Livorno need all the Over-hyping they can get!)

Paulauskas has been training with Livorno for the past 2 weeks and looks like he has convinced GC Camolese that he could fill the non-existent vice-Pasquale role.

All I know is that he’s a left back and has played for the Lithuanian NT and the women tell me he’s a sexy beast and a great fisherman

If anybody speaks Lithuanian, help a commie out !

On a little more exciting note, Rumours say that Livorno have secured the services of Brazilian winger Sidny from Náutico Recife for the next 3 seasons. The 26 year old is a 5’6’’ right back and it’s said that he has blazing speed. He was one of the key players that saved Náutico Recife from relegation last year. This seems like a way better option than Ze Maria. Livorno need all the help they can get on the flanks because if Pasquale or Balleri go down, there’s not much decent backup on the pine. Now this is good depending on the price. NOTHING has been confirmed by the Italian press, only some news outlets in Brazil are considering this a done deal. No word on if or not he’ll be available in January to help out…
