The shit has officially hit the fan

Italian Calcio is on fire today because of bad police work. One Footbal fan has been killed after a ”tragic error” by the Italian Police. Gabriel Sandri, a Lazio Fan, was killed earlier today

Some games were played, others were postponed. The situation in Italy right now is very tense (to say the least) and still going on .

Head on to the Serie A page for complete LIVE coverage from Martha! who has A LOT of stuff on the situation

Chris has news on the postponement of the Roma-Cagliari match as well as news on the incident

Here are some links on the situation as of now:

Here’s a video of rioting in Rome

* The situation is quite hectic right now so i’ll have way more on the game later on

Football:

Livorno actually won today in a great game. As i predicted, we ended up winning 3-2 and Amelia had a great game.Tavano, Bergvold and Knezevic scored all the goals in the first half.
I) Martin Bergvold was easily man of the Match.

II) Camolese is working miracles with the Team

III) Knezevic’s goal was supeyb!

The Livorno supporters and Siena fans were understanbly pissed off during the game.
The Labronici faithful started Screaming Assassini! Assassini! to the cops present after 15 minutes. As the table stands now Livorno are still last but now have 4 friends ! The odds of survival are looking better week after week.

Here are the Highlights for now :
Warning: Very weird usage (maybe ever, who knows?) of the great gig in the sky…

    Thanks for the link, Marco.

A bunch of great matches have been overshadowed by this, huh? From the half-attention I paid to Fiorentina-Udine that one was fantastic, and it sounds like Livorno’s was, too. (A win?! No way!)

Hopefully all of this will settle down (read: the riots will stop) sooner than later and we won’t feel guilty talking about just the football anymore.
