Samp 2-0 Livorno, Spinelli pissed but not fiery

Now this is what I would call disappointing from a point-in-the-standings kind of view. Livorno are in 17th place and are looking down at the relegation zone like they wanna jump in! But Livorno played well in this game, Let’s not forget Sampdoria’s a more than decent team with a world class baby boy makin’ a comeback from his recent stupid suspension. It’s clear that Sampdoria are the more talented team and deserved to win on Sunday, but Livorno beat them fairly during the 1st encounter of the year and the Amaranto Liberation Army certainly didn’t deserve to lose. Tavano’s disallowed goal was nothing if not incomprehensible ! If Tavano’s goal, off a great save-and-pass by Amelia, stands (which it should have because the Ref’s assistant (i.e. closer to the play) thought the goal was legitimate) (or Sampdoria needs to play comeback ball for the next half hour). The momentum and pace of the game change entirely. Add that to the fact that Accardi should have been sent off and it’s a whole other ball game.

I’m not saying Sampdoria’s Southern Striking Sensation wouldn’t have managed lead his team to two goals, I’m just saying with Marco Amelia on fire, I was fancying the chances at all 3 points, or at least 2. But Maggio and Bonazzolli closed up the deal. God damn it Cassano has the potential to be a Serie A Sunday SuperHero. He’s amazing on the ball, with the ball, without it He’s the most talented supporting strikers in years and should have already 15 goals for the Azzurri. But he needs more attention than my 1 year old nephew ! He’s always complaining and in his better moments he’s reaching out to the crowd for applause and support. You’re a Calcio player Antò Not a Fuckin’ Pop Star ! You can’t be an overweight, Drunken, Cracked out rock star that gets to go to rehab 8 months of the year and still be adored by your obsessed fans. You need to put that dream on hold for the next 8-9 years and then you can get your drink on like the Best of them, George Best that is !

GC Camolese! What’d’you think about this game :

“We are very disappointed in the result,But we are aware that the team is improving.

We created many goal scoring opportunities and there are also many doubts on some situations in which the referee whistled against us, and we were very close to scoring

We are recovering some players who were injured like Bergvold and Pulzetti, and this must be seen as a positive sign.

“During this part of the season, these incidents are not coming our way. These are things which could have changed the game in our favour”

At least Livorno are showing signs of improvement, I have to agree with Camolese on that won. I’m positive the Tavano-Diamanti Tandem is the way to go from now on. Rossini needs to disappear, and Bogdani and Tristan can be used if tactical need be. Bergvold is back in form and Pulzetti will get a week off next week to work on his minor, yet nagging, ailments after picking up that last booking for arguing with the Almighty referee. Good news: we’re going to see some Sidny action soon. Maybe Edgar Alvarez in a 4-4-2 but be assured the right side of the flank will be patrolled by an American. Bad news is Davide Balleri is out for at least 3 weeks. Oh yeah and don’t forget to insert the requisite, now taken for granted, that : We’d - be – even - lower – in – the – table – if - it -weren’t - for - Marco - Amelia, where ever you like.
