Brescia 2-2 Livorno , 1st Leg highlights
By: Marco Stucazzo | June 14th, 2009
Livorno played some excellent footbal in the 1st half with Tavano & Diamanti running the show and putting the Amaranto ahead by 2 goals after 15 minutes of play. The Livorno counter attack was quicker than Roberto Benigni at a Dante speed recital contest. Unfortunately, The Rondinelle’s Tiny Taddei tortured the compact Livorno defense all game long. This mixed in with Diamanti having to leave at the half because of too many shot to the shins, Mazzoni’s brain fart on the second goal and the fact that Danilevicius can’t hold the ball for his teammates if it would save his life and there’s your recipe for a pareggio. Nonetheless Livorno played some decent football but we could just see how hard the last 15 minutes of the game was on the team’s stamina. All in all a well played and managed game. Ruotolo had the right idea by placing Perticone on the right instead of the attack minded Rosi (but it wouldn’t have been a bad idea to insert the big Roman Rosi infront of him, instead of the mini twin for some well needed strength) Gaston Cellerino provided not more than the Lithuanian non-sensation but at least he got under the skin of many a brescian defender. Loviso needs to stop disapearing for 15 minute periods three times a game and thank god Alfonso De Lucia will be back for the return leg. Ruotolo should have ample players to chose from in midfield on June 20th
