Burgundy Boys Basement Battle

By: Marco Stucazzo | October 30th, 2007

Ok maybe not the most interesting serie a game on Wednesday. But The Amaranto of Livorno go up against the Amaranto dello Stretto. Livorno is off to an awful start and will be trying to get their first win of the season. Fortunately, Reggina isn’t doing way better this season either. Livorno faces yet again another 6-point game.

The labronici are coming off a series of disappointing defeats, the most recent being the won at the Tardini on Sunday. Livorno seems to have found the Tavano of old since his excellent display at Parma 3 days ago. The defence will have to tighten up and stop giving away easy goals. All tree Parma Goals came from high crosses and the Livornese back-line will have to start jumping in unison to get those balls out of the area. Marco Amelia needs to bounce back from that sub-par performance on Sunday. He needs to save at least one sure goal every week for Livorno to get back in the relegation race.

Vikash Dhorasoo will meet with Livorno officials today, so he won’t be playing witch is a HUGE surprise. He explained that nothing in his contract details that he has to play for the Primavera squad, so he didn’t feel like going. We all hope that the situation should resolve itself quickly, either way because this is getting plain ridiculous.

Aldo Spinelli thinks he has found the reason Livorno sucks this year. He claims that, even with the loss of Lucarelli, he’s never had a core of players this good in his whole time as a Calcio President. The reason this team is losing is because the players are all fat bastards. He blames Livorno’s awful form on gluttony. He’s saying Marco Amelia needs to lose 4 kilos, because his fattyness does get to those balls as quickly as he did last year.
No more Pasta for the pigs. He claims he’ll be in Livorno to weigh the players personally each Friday. He has also hire Richard Simmons as new team motivator.

Formation 3-5-2:
Livorno Amelia; Knezevic, Pavan, Grandoni; Balleri, Pulzetti, Loviso, A Filippini, E Filippini; Tavano, Bogdani
Reggina : Campagnolo; Valdez, Aronica, Cherubin, Modesto; Vigiani, Barreto, Cascione, Hallfredsson; Cozza; Amoruso

*super swamped with school work, I’ll have more on V-Ka$h and the game soon. Also I’ll explain why we need to see Shaktar suck in the CL…

Onwards!

You know, normally Spinelli would be a moron for believing a team’s problems is because they’re all too fat. But when your team is this bad…fuck it. Why not?

Livorno have always drawn with the other amaranto squad so you’re probably right ?
BTW shouldn’t your name be Red Sox? ;)

Chris: The mental image of SPinelli weighing each player one by one and then screaming is a great one.

And i like this defense from a club owner

    -Why do you guys suck?
    -That’s ’cause we’re fat bastards!

it just has a nice ring to it…

You know, marketing wise this could have huge potential. Imagine if they dropped an ass load of weight and started winning? The weight-loss advertising scrilla would come rolling in. Pure genius. I can just imagine Marco Amelia and Anna Nicole Smith riding down the beach on horses yelling “Trim-Spa baby!”

    Alright, bad example.
