Livorno 1 – 1 pisa Merda, Straighten That Tourist Tower
By: Marco Stucazzo | September 20th, 2008The 75th Livorno – Pisa Derby finishes to an unboring 1-1 scorleine. For those of you who don’t know this derbissimo is one of the oldest and sexiest in all of Italy, it’s the GILF of derbies ! These two teams or should I say cities hate each other with a passion. A fervent Livorno supporter even has a blog dedicated solely to pictures of Pisa Merda around the world. Check it out! http://pisamerda.wordpress.com/ The derby kind of sucked from a Fans point of view. Only 6,000 were able to show up because the authorities wouldn’t let non-season ticket holders in unless they were members of the Vatican.
Livorno were feeling the pressure in the 1st 30 minutes, Job was tearing the left side a part and poor Aleandro Rosi was unmatched and had to be substituted by Martin Bergvold after only half and hour. From then on Livorno started pushing. The return of Grandoni solidified the back four while Nico Pulzetti slotted in the Right Back position for the remainder of the game. Livorno ‘s counter attack looked dangerous all afternoon but unfortunately Tomas Danilevicius couldn’t revert to his International Lithuanian form and missed two easy goal opportunities that would have killed Pisa’s hopes by the hour mark.
Francesco Tavano was his old self by disappearing today. He usually does that; he plays one or 2 decent games and then his light fade out for another 3 more.
Alè Diamanti managed to bring Livorno up 1 with 15 minutes left. Diamanti swerved in a sweet set piece past the Pisa portiere. Unfortunately the highlights don’t do any justice to the goal as it was A BEAUTY. Diamanti totally mystified everyone, including his teammates, but most importantly the goalie by going straight for goal from about 27 yards out.
Unfortunately no one told Bonetto not to scissor tackle someone in the Area and Pisa’s French captain (only one of the many reasons Pisa e Merda( And Mr. Pit HA ! and yes he sucked ) Genevrier slotted in his Penalty twice to tie the game with 10 minutes to go. Diamanti pulled another one of his patented long range left footed bombs from fucked up angles but was denied by Pisa and the game ended there. 1-1 damn it!

Livorno totally deserved to win this game and we’ll blame Tavano’s nowhere-to-be-seen-anitis, Lithuania’s national team training regimen and the emotion of a derby for the draw
One thing is for sure; Leonardo Acori knows how to adapt his tactics to a game. Now let’s start winning more regularly!
Forza Labronici !

Thanks again Marco.Yeah another 2 points dropped at home, but at least we’re not losing.Tavano wants a rocket up his arse.He should be revelling in the goals in every game or at least seen to be trying.Glad for Diamante but I hope he isn’t relied upon to pull them out of the mire in every game.
