Livorno 3-2 Sassuolo, Top of the Table and Rolando Bianchi
By: Marco Stucazzo | December 21st, 2008A Francesco Tavano led Livorno scored 3 times against Sassuolo in a thrilling 3-2 victory at the Armando Picchi on Saturday. Tavano’s brace sends Livorno top of the table with 32 points, altough we’re tied with 3 others. Massimo Loviso opened up the score with an awkward long range shot and Sassuolo keeper Bressan did his best Paul Robinso impression and let it in. Then Livorno were awarded a Penalty that Francesco Tavano missed or Bressan saved, whatever you want to think ! But the Ciccio managed to redeem himself moments later with a Goal. 2-1 Livorno was the score at the half.
Then Sassuolo scored with 15 minutes left tot the game to bring it at 2-2. But the Amaranto wouldn’t stop pushing, even after feeding Danilevicius easy goals, nothing would go in. On cames Francesco Volpe for a sneezing and coughing Diamanti. and in the 94th, that’s right Volpe dishes a sublime little lobe pass over the defense to Tavano who smacks it in. 3-2 ! Crazy celebrating under la curva. Forza Livorno !
This goes to prove how much depth there is on this squad. Mr. Acori’s Christmas formation fits perfectly well with this team. We manage to shadow the weekly shortcomings of Tommy Danilevicius (Seriously this guy is retarded, with the bucket load of chances, a lot of them tap ins, he’s had since the start of the season he should at least have 4 goals. His easy misses are why Livorno have company at the top of the table) I love the fact that Tavano and Diamanti can compensate for each others bad days at the office. ALe Diamanti was fluish today but Acori put him in anyway and Tavano picked up the slack. Imagine when these 2 guys will be on at the same time, it’s gonna be delicious !
Imagine how Rolando Bianchi would be perfect instead of the Loitering Lithuanian on this squad wouldn’t you think ? Well maniaco-depressive Aldo Spinelli is on a high and is seriously thinking about it. With Livorno on top of the table and the excellent relationship between Toro and Livorno might make things interesting in January. At least that’s what Corriere Dello Sport is saying. Looks like we also have our eyes on a certain Christian Bucchi.
Randmoness : Fabio Galante is back, Livorno have conceided the fewest goals in Serie B, only 1 loss on the board, 3rd best attack, on fire at home, Nicola Candreva is versatile and a star, Rizza played well, i finally got to see a freakin’ game, Best defense in the league if you ask the stats, 3rd best offense says the statisticians and Cool fucking shirt on top of it all !
Highlights ! Or if you like them kitsch with just a dash of Indian/Bollywood emo-techno-trance, like me , you can check these out !
