Livorno 5 – 2 Frosinone, Amazing Rossini highlights ?!

By: Marco Stucazzo | October 12th, 2008

Who would have thought that Fausto Rossini would be the answer to our scoring problems ? (Is it Serie B making Rossini look good or is just that he sucked extremely hard last year ?) Seriously, the Inuit looking Big man replaced Tomas Danilevicius perfectly on top of Mr. Acori’s Christmas tree this week and we managed to score 5 against Frosinone ! Livorno scored 3 goals in the 1st 16 minutes of the game to pretty much put it away in less than 20 minutes. Above all, Livorno played great and showed the depth Coach Acori can play with. Aleandro Rosi didn’t start and Diamanti spent the whole game on the bench, Danilevicius was on Lithuanian duty and Nicola Candreva was on the U21 carnival but Perticone, Volpe and Rossini played extremely well and we win a blowout ! 11 points on the board and it seems like Acori’s slowly finding the right ingredients for his 4-3-2-1 formation.

IL TABELLINO

Reti: 6’ e 37’ pt Rossini, 10’ pt Loviso, 16’ pt Pulzetti (L), 8’ st Santoruvo (F), 28’ st Tavano su rigore (L), 43’ st Eder (F).

Espulso Miglionico (L) per fallo da ultimo uomo al 39’ pt.
Note: Spettatori 7.000 circa, di cui una cinquantina provenienti da Frosinone. Recupero: 0’ pt, 3’ st

Grandoni and De Lucia are playing well but Miglionico needs to step it up but our depth in attack is probably unmatched in Serie B ! Ciccio Tavano, Rossini, Danilevicius, Volpe, Candreva and some dude named Ale Diamanti. If coach Acori can manage around Diamanti and Tavano’s recurring dry spells, we’ll be fighting for promotion ‘til the bitter end.

The midfield was flawless with Nico Pulzetti scoring a nice goal after causing the counter attack and adding vitality and stability to the middle.
Massimo Loviso stepped up his game today and scored a long-range beauty in the process. Loviso, who was booed during the line-up announcements, really showed some quality after starting the season slow. Not only did he score a beauty but he was doing his best Andrea Pirlo impression in the middle of midfield; dictating play, slowing down or speeding it up and he seemed to be making the perfect choice of pass each and every time. A huge difference from the usual Loviso.

Forza Labronici !

I watched this game and Livorno were completely dominant. The fact that they were missing so many good players shows that their depth might be the best in Serie B. Very, very impressed with the talent of many of the Livorno players. At times the Frosinone guys just looked like training cones. Livorno is officially my favorite Serie B team.

    Grazie Marco.
At last the fans get what they pay for. A great display of football and 5 goals to boot. Full marks to Rossini and Loviso for top performances and well done to the rest of the team for putting in a great team effort including Tav. All this without Ale Diamante as well.Forza Livorno!!

It must be the end of Serie B, maybe even civilization as a whole, when Fausto Rossini is scoring a) more than one goal a season, much less a game, and b) goals like that.
