The Camolese Miracle Cure And A Burgundy Tinted Azzurri Victory
By: Marco Stucazzo | November 23rd, 2007Camolese has given up the secret to his Livorno revolution recipe. The recent positive display of the Labronici seems to be all because of GC Camolese. Johnny Camels spilled the beans this week to the readers of La Repubblica;
“Ho preso da parte i giocatori uno per uno e ho cercato di capire i problemi che frenavano la crescita della squadra. Poi ovviamente abbiamo lavorato sulla parta atletica e pochi correttivi sono stati sufficienti per ritrovare questa condizione essenziale del calcio moderno”.
He basically used the kindergarden technique of convocating each player one a time and asking in a babies voice: ‘’what’s wrong little boy? You can talk to me, I’m Johnny Camels’’ and then of course adding’’ don’t worry about it; I think Spinelli’s a nut job to!’’.
He then axed the Athletic preparator and started tweaking with the Livorno training program and Voilà! Training Soufflé à la Johnny Camels.!
Livorno’s slow rising of the table is all because of the little gaffer’s work, maybe not all, but a huge part of it. He had the balls to send Vika$h Dhorasoo to the Primavera and we all know what happened . He then slapped out his coglioni again to ask Diego to the Tristan to go stretch his legs with the young kids. Not only did Tristan go silently, he even managed NOT getting injured and scored a penalty. Some news outlets (CDS and Il Tirreno)
Have suggested Johnny Camels might have the guts to Partner Tavano and Tristan against Sampdoria on Sunday. Not going to happen but still a nice idea.
Former Livorno boys star for the Azzurri in the Faroes:
Ex Labronici Giorgio Chiellini , Raffaelle Palladino and Roberto Donadoni were all an integral part of Italy’s victory over the Faeroes on November 21sh. As much as I hate to admit it, Donadoni did coach well (except for his weird infatuation with Ambrosini, why not Maresca!)
Chiellini scored a beauty and Palladino ran circles around the Faroes all night. As much as I like to see new young faces on the Squadra, Palladino didn’t impress that much. He did have some decent shots and crosses but one feels an Ale Rosina type, per say, would have scored 1 or 2 and dished out better dimes, eh assists.
Italy are now officially contenders at Euro 2008 and are awaiting to know who they’ll enjoy spanking in The Austrian Swisses. I’m not a big fan of Italy always waiting at the last minute to show up and show their true talent. On the positive side that made for an enticing Scotland vs Italia game. I think it’s all a Silvio Berlusconi Media induced conspiracy theory to have get as many viewers watching until the very end, or just that the Post-Germany syndrome was kind of expected from the World Champs.
The game in Scotland was a beauty, I think even for a neutral. It is hard to see through these Azzurri tinted glasses of mine. But to see the CRAZY kilted Scotland fans jumping and singing was a great moment.
So here’s a Tribute to the Scotland fans
Transfer Tidbits:
We now know Livorno is considering Zampagna to fill a spot up front, if we can’t import Lucarelli back from the Ukrainian mines. Livorno seems to be interested on spending a little more this Christmas. . Half of Torino’s roster is being considered by the Amaranto management, okay 3 guys…
Niko Lazetic , Ivan Franceschini and Roberto Stellone. 3 names with so much star power I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it. Livorno aren’t the only ones in the chase as some other Serie A strugglers have set their eyes on the soon to be ex-Granata players. Not much of a rumour, but let me make this clear, if it has been reported ANYWHERE on the Internet I’ll still talk about it.
Tuttosport-the equivalent of Fox News in the Italian football media panorama- is reporting That Dario Knezevic is being considered by Milan to replace Dario Simic as The Croate de Service at Milan. Knezevic had the chance to make the bench to enjoy a nice game between England and Croatia, which was of no importance at all.
Dario is solid, can play CB and LB quite decently, but the downside for Milan is that Knezevic is only 25 years old. On the other hand, they both are Croatian defenders named Dario. This way Uncle Fester won’t get too confused.
His goal (3rd) in Siena - Livorno 1:05 mark

[...] Camolese has been working wonders since his arrival, you can find the recipe to his miracle cure right here, but that doesn’t change the fact that Livorno have been chilling in last place all season long. [...]
