Yes he's a good keeper and his days in Livorno have molded him in a better one, so his stay here was mutually beneficial i think. But Amelia isn't top 10 in the world right now, and his 8M$ price tag confirms that..(trust me, Marco Amelia replacing Fontana wouldn't be that much of an upgrade for Palermo) As for Lucarelli, Livorno is a small town (pop: 150.000) so when a large part of the fans get on your back, it's hard to steer away from the attention It's totally understandable for Lucarelli to move on to greener pastures and CL football. Seeing him go to Parma or Genoa is kind of dissapointing as they're relegation battlers as well... I hate to say this, but Amelia is grossely overrated.
